EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants center Shaun O'Hara is battling a sprained right foot and his status is uncertain for Sunday's game at Seattle.
The two-time Pro Bowler was hurt last Monday during the team's win at Dallas, coach Tom Coughlin said, adding that doctors described the injury as a mild sprain in the mid-foot area.
O'Hara, who missed three games earlier this season with bursitis in his left ankle, did not practice with the team Monday, when it returned to work after a bye week.
He was not in the locker room after practice and a team spokesman said O'Hara turned down a request to talk to the media.
Adam Koets replaced O'Hara in the starting lineup when he was out and worked with the first team in practice.
In other injury news, backup cornerback Bruce Johnson was placed on injured reserve after having arthroscopic knee surgery during the bye week. The team did not say which knee.
A second-year pro, Johnson played in six of the Giants' first seven games. He had one defensive tackle and four special teams tackles.
The Giants filled Johnson's spot on the roster after being awarded defensive end Alex Hall off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals. Hall was with the Giants in training camp and was waived on Sept. 4 after reaching an injury settlement.
Backup offensive tackle Will Beatty practiced for the first time since breaking his right foot and having surgery after the season opener. He hopes to be ready to play in two weeks.
