Good Morning Football is officially set to return with more content than ever, only this time on a new coast.
The Emmy-winning morning show will relaunch on Monday, July 29, from its new home at NFL Network's studios in Inglewood, California, and will air from 8-10 a.m. ET Monday through Friday.
On top of that two-hour program, GMFB: Overtime, also two hours during weekdays from 10 a.m. to noon ET and streaming for free on the Roku Channel, premieres the same day. It will eventually air in syndication across many local stations starting on Monday, Sept. 2.
Fans can expect the return of many of their favorite hosts, as well as a splash of new talent. Jamie Erdahl, Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt will all be back, with Erdahl working out of Los Angeles and Schrager and Brandt splitting their hosting duties between L.A. and New York.
They'll be joined on both programs by Akbar Gbajabiamila, a four-year NFL veteran who spent eight years as an NFL Network analyst from 2012-19 and has hosted American Ninja Warrior since 2013, and Sherree Burruss, who joined the NFL Network team in February 2023 and is relocating from Washington, D.C., to contribute news updates and in various segments.
"Not only are we bringing back a show that so many fans have woken up to and loved for years, we are giving it a state-of-the-art new home with even more resources and space for our talent to showcase their signature segments and fun takes on the game of football," said NFL Media vice president of original content and entertainment Angela Ellis, who will oversee the L.A. show's brand.
Just as when it debuted on Aug. 1, 2016, Good Morning Football returns to screens at the perfect time, with all 32 teams partaking in the early stages of training camp in full preparation mode for the upcoming season.
There will be storylines to cover galore, from position battles and injuries to surprise preseason darlings, and GMFB will do so with the same charm it has for nearly a decade. GMFB: Overtime will, too, coupled with a closer look at lighter fare surrounding the country's most popular sport.
Weeks from now, the show returns in sunny Los Angeles, directly across from SoFi Stadium and immersed, as always, in everything NFL.
