The Jacksonville Jaguars' recent dalliance with free agent Greg Hardy doesn't mean the defense is lacking in pass rushers.
Starting with 2015 first-round pick Dante Fowler, the Jags boast more talent up front than they've had in years.
Although Fowler is returning from an ACL tear that ruined his entire rookie season, coach Gus Bradley made it clear Saturday that the promising young defensive end will be full-go for training camp.
"I think you are seeing him. We are not holding him back right now," Bradley said, via SB Nation's Big Cat Country. "I think the challenge for us is how long can he play at that level. Can he do that 70 plays? Can he do that 50 plays? ... So that is the challenge for him, but I have been impressed with him."
Jaguars fans had to love seeing the clips of Fowler beating right tackle Jermey Parnellwith outside and inside moves over the weekend.
Fowler feels 100 percent healthy, but acknowledged Saturday that he's still working to recapture his full pre-injury form.
"You really can't tell how close I am," Fowler said, via the team's official website. "I know that I am back, but I know my capabilities. I still have to get my explosiveness back. I feel explosive and I feel faster, so I can only imagine how it's going to be when everything comes in. I still have work to put in."
This year's third-round draft pick, defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, has also shined with his athleticism, turning in a series of impact plays thus far.
As impressive as the two young edge have been early in camp, the Jaguars can resist the urge to bring in a troublemaker of Hardy's caliber.
