Healthy Garrett Grayson finally able to work out for scouts

Quarterback Garrett Grayson was not able to work out at Colorado State's pro day on March 11 or at the NFL Scouting Combine due to a hamstring injury, so he held his own pro day on Monday.

Grayson (6-foot-2 1/2, 214 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.72 and 4.78 seconds. He had a 34-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-1 broad jump. He did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.35 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.97 seconds.

Grayson -- who has 10 1/8-inch hands -- had a good workout. He threw 70-plus passes and only a handful hit the ground.

Grayson -- who is the fifth-rated quarterback in NFL Media analyst Mike Mayock's prospect rankings and in the discussion among Baylor's Bryce Petty, Oregon State's Sean Mannion and UCLA's Brett Hundley to be the third quarterback selected in the 2015 NFL Draft behind Florida State's Jameis Winston and Oregon's Marcus Mariota.
