Move over, Eric Metcalf. There's a new punt-return king in the NFL.
The Chicago Bears' Devin Hester took a Jason Baker punt 69 yards and into the end zone during the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers for his 11th career punt-return touchdown, breaking Metcalf's all-time record of 10.
As Soldier Field rocked, Hester somersaulted his way into the end zone, drawing a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Hester's record-setting return put the Bears ahead 24-10 and came just minutes after he nearly returned a kickoff for a touchdown. Chicago won, 34-29.
