RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh is missing practice Tuesday to attend the funeral of former Cincinnati Bengals teammate Chris Henry.
Seattle coach Jim Mora said Monday that Houshmandzadeh was on his way to Louisiana to attend the service and would return Tuesday night.
Mora says Houshmandzadeh "was almost like a big brother" to Henry. Henry died last week after falling from the back of a pickup truck during what police described as a domestic dispute.
Houshmandzadeh played with Henry in Cincinnati from 2005-08. He said "everyone" liked Henry and called his friend's death "unbelievable."
