The Indianapolis Colts signed former Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Antonio Dixon on Tuesday, and moved linebacker Jerry Brown and defensive end Clifton Geathers from the practice squad to the active squad, the Indianapolis Star reported.
The Colts also waived cornerback Justin King.
Dixon, 27, started 10 games in his three seasos with the Eagles. Geathers, 24, spent some time with the Miami Dolphins and the Seattle Seahawks in 2010, and appeared in five games for the Dallas Cowboys last season.
The Colts needed the added depth after defensive end Fili Moala (knee sprain) and nose tackle Martin Tevaseu (foot) were injured during Sunday's victory over the Green Bay Packers.
