Already down safety Earl Thomas, the Seattle Seahawks' secondary suffered another serious blow during Saturday's Divisional Round matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
Cornerback DeShawn Shead suffered a left knee injury on the first drive of the second half while he was manning Taylor Gabriel in coverage. Shead did not return after being carted to the locker room, and Pete Carroll told reporters after the game the injury could be serious.
Rookie defensive back DeAndre Elliott replaced Shead.
Rookie right guard Germain Ifedi went out early with an ankle injury, but returned on Seattle's fourth drive of the game. The starter got rolled up on by Falcons linebacker Paul Worrilow. Third-round pick Rees Odhiambo took over for Ifedi.

- Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones suffered a foot injury and did not return, but coach Dan Quinn told reporters there is "no concern" regarding Jones' status. Defensive end Adrian Clayborn did not return after suffering a bicep injury.
- The New England Patriots will be without wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell for Saturday night's Divisional Round matchup against the Houston Texans. The rookie wideout was ruled inactive with a knee injury. Wideout Chris Hogan left during the third quarter with a thigh injury. He is questionable to return.
- Texans safety Quintin Demps (hamstring) and linebacker John Simon (chest) are inactive after being previously listed as questionable. Running back Tyler Ervin is out with a concussion. Running back Alfred Blue is being evaluated for a concussion. Defensive end Joel Heath is out with a knee injury.
