Injury roundup: Michael Vick (hamstring) exits game

Michael Vick was knocked out of Sunday's win over the New York Giants with a hamstring injury, but the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback says it wasn't that serious.

Vick told reporters he could have returned to the game if backup quarterback Nick Foles had gotten hurt.

"Yeah, I would have gone in and just made sure I could sustain for the team," Vick said.

Vick said it was a coach's decision to keep him out of the game after the injury, and he supported the move.

"The coaches understood, why have me in the game when I'm not 100 percent when you have a healthy quarterback on the sideline?" Vick said.

Vick was hopeful that he would play next week at Tampa Bay, noting he's had an injury like this before. Vick said he missed one week of action the last time he had the injury. The quarterback is scheduled to have an MRI on Monday, The Patriot News reportedFoles showed Sunday that the Eagles can survive with Vick on the sideline.
