2022 Internship programme alumni - Olivia Eastwood-Gray

My Name is Olivia Eastwood-Gray and I was in the 2022/23 internship group. The NFL internship was one of the best things I have ever done. I have learnt so much, developed amazing relationships and made memories that will last a lifetime, but most importantly this experience has given me an amazing start to my professional career.

Liv

I was inspired to apply for the internship as I was looking for that next step within the world of sport and I wanted something that was going to challenge me whilst helping me to learn about different parts of the sports industry at the same time. I was split between the Commercial team and the Consumer Products team during my internship. This was great for me as it gave me the challenge I was looking for and allowed me to see how a global sports organisation works from the inside.

I have had so many internship highlights, but my standout moments have been the international games in London and Munich. Before going to these games, I had only ever watched NFL games on the TV, so this was a real pinch me moment to be in the stadium and see how well received these games were by fans, the atmosphere was unreal! But from working behind the scenes and seeing all the hard work from the whole business to execute these stellar moments made these games even sweeter!

After my internship, I was successful in applying for a full time within the NFL's Commercial team here in the UK office. I am incredibly proud and honoured to be continuing my career within the NFL and building upon all I learnt from my internship.

To anyone who is considering applying for the internship…go for it! If I could give any advice, I would say be curious, be open to learn, be yourself and bring your experiences and achievements to the table!
