Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is still longing for the days of his classic Osi Umenyiora feuds, and doesn't think the Eagles' rivalry with the current Giants roster is in the same stratosphere.
That could change soon, though.
A day after Giants cornerbacks Prince Amukamara and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie posed with Giants superfan "License Plate Guy," who was wearing an Eagles jersey with the No. 0 and the word "Super Bowls" written across the back, the smack talk has started to trickle out from Philadelphia.
"Did Prince win a Super Bowl? I know DRC didn't. I guess it's entertainment," McCoy told reporters on a conference call today.
Jeremy Maclin went on to say that the Giants are "living in the past," and that Antrel Rolle, the leader of the Giants' secondary, "talks too much." Rolle said earlier this week that the Eagles won the division in a down year last year.
It's not exactly Michael Strahan-John Runyan, which is what we'd all want to see out of a massive Sunday night matchup that could shape the course of a tightly-contested NFC East for the next few weeks, but we'll take what we can get.
It might have been better if Rodgers-Cromartie didn't go ahead and apologize for taking the photo already, but let's give this a few more days to boil.
