The Jaguars have re-signed backup quarterback Luke McCown, the team announced on Monday.
Length and terms of the contract were not disclosed, but McCown's agent, Mike McCartney, told *The Florida Times-Union* Sunday that the deal was for one year.
McCown, who is entering his eighth season in the NFL, tore his right anterior cruciate ligament in Week 2 last season and spent the rest of the year on injured reserve.
He also suffered a torn ACL in the same knee in 2006.
McCown, 29, joined the Jaguars before the 2009 season in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He has thrown for 1,739 yards, nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions in seven NFL seasons.
