Jeremy Maclin, DeSean Jackson ready to go

It's fair to say Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson will enter training camp in a far better place than they were in a year ago.

In 2011, Jackson was in the final season of his rookie deal and unhappy the Philadelphia Eagles hadn't given him a long-term extension. Maclin had more serious problems, as a mysterious illness sapped him of his strength and limited him throughout the spring and summer.

Now Jackson is paid and Maclin is healthy, and together the pair could do big things for the Eagles.

"Guys really don't have that much to worry about, except for (to) go out there and do your job, as they should do anyway," Maclin said, according to Philly.com. "When you have happy players, guys definitely want to go out there and play and give it (their) all."

Added Maclin: "I wish the season started tomorrow; that's how ready I am."

Maclin has bulked up from 198 to 205 pounds, but wide receivers coach David Culley said the receiver hasn't lost any burst.

"He just has a body type to be able to carry some more," Culley said. "It doesn't affect him down the field at all."

When both are at the top of their games, Jackson and Maclin make up one of the more underrated wide receiver duos in football. Michael Vick has his own issues to work out, but the Eagles' offense has the potential for greatness.
