The New York Jets didn't play in Week 12, but they still continue to garner headlines.
Following a slew of weekend reports regarding the future of Aaron Rodgers, interim coach Jeff Ulbrich said on Monday that the club has no plans to shut down the 40-year-old quarterback, noting he looks healthier coming off the bye.
"All I can say -- and you'd have to ask Aaron if he's fully healthy -- but he's better off today than he's been as of late," Ulbrich told reporters. "So he's definitely feeling healthier than he has for probably the last month, and a healthy Aaron Rodgers is the Aaron Rodgers we all love. So, excited about what that looks like."
The Jets face the Seahawks this Sunday.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported over the weekend that it's unclear if Rodgers remains in the club's 2025 plans. The final six weeks will likely tell the story.
Rodgers hasn't missed a game this season but has been on and off the injury report battling hamstring, knee and ankle injuries. Rapoport reported that Rodgers has resisted getting scans done for fear it'd reveal the extent of the injuries.
Asked about Rodgers skipping scans, Ulbrich responded: "That's news to me."
The Jets have lost seven of their past eight games and sit at 3-8, in the No. 12 spot in the AFC with six games remaining.
