Jets' Sanchez, Lowery, Turner ruled out vs. Bucs

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez has been ruled out, as expected, for the New York Jets' Sunday game at Tampa Bay, along with cornerback Dwight Lowery and offensive lineman Robert Turner.

Sanchez sprained the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against the Buffalo Bills last Thursday. Jets coach Rex Ryan decided to sit Sanchez against the Buccaneers earlier this week. Kellen Clemens will start instead.

Lowery has missed the last two games with a high right ankle sprain, and Turner was inactive against the Bills with an injured knee.

Right guard Alan Faneca and offensive lineman Wayne Hunter are both questionable with illnesses.
