A new era of branding in New York will include the appearance of an old favorite.

The Jets will wear an all-white version of their classic uniforms during a Monday Night Football appearance this season, the team announced Monday.

The uniform should look familiar to most fans. New York wore a very similar set of threads from 1998-2018, riding a classic design first popularized in the days of Joe Namath and the Super Bowl III champions. New York returned to this look in 1998 after wearing them as a throwback in the 1993 and 1994 seasons, swapping out the green shell worn in the early '90s for a historically accurate white helmet, and wore them until they debuted a modern redesign in 2019.

The Jets moved on from the 2019 uniforms earlier this offseason, returning to another classic look inspired by the New York Sack Exchange-era Jets, complete with a new, black alternate following the same template.

Despite being a recent look, the Jets are accurately calling these white throwbacks "The Classic" because they're based on the uniforms worn by the Namath-led Jets, complete with a lighter shade of green than the color they wore from 1998-2018, and a period-accurate gray facemask.

The Jets will don these kits for their nationally televised Week 6 game against the AFC East-rival Buffalo Bills on Oct. 14.
