The New York Jets now have more than one injury concern in the backfield.
Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson said he would be able to play next week after leaving during the first quarter of Sunday's 34-19 win over the Washington Redskins with a knee injury. Tomlinson did return, and confirmed after the game that he tweaked his left knee, the same knee which caused him to miss the last two games with a sprained medial collateral ligament.
Tomlinson came up limping after a 16-yard reception. His only other touch in the game was a 5-yard run.
Running back Joe McKnight, who left with an elbow injury, said he hyperextended the elbow and will have an MRI exam on Monday.
Linebacker Calvin Pace said his brief exit from the game was a matter of hydration.
