- The Associated Press reported that Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin promised a healthier work environment and locker room after the Ted Wells investigation found harassment of offensive lineman Jonathan Martin and others as a major problem on his team.
- New York Jets coach Rex Ryan said NFL prospect Michael Sam, who came out as gay two weeks ago, would "fit in just like the rest of our guys," the Newark Star Ledger reported.
