John Kuhn re-signs with Green Bay Packers

The KUUUUUUUUUUHN calls aren't done in Green Bay just yet.

Fullback John Kuhn re-signed with the Packers on a one-year deal worth the veteran minimum $870,000, agent Kevin Gold told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport on Monday.

Kuhn will turn 33 in September and spent eight of his nine pro seasons in Green Bay. The fullback made Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams in 2014 despite having just 24 rushing attempts for 85 yards and one touchdown run while playing just 20 percent of his team's snaps.

Kuhn remains a fan favorite despite the Packers relegating him to a lesser role the past two seasons. The fullback played in 249 snaps in 2014 and 337 in 2013 after seeing more than 420 snaps each of the previous three seasons, per Pro Football Focus.

Still, the veteran has a role to play as a lead blocker in certain formations, and in short-yardage situations.
