Had your fill of Johnny Football? Too bad, as Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel leads the 34 players on the Davey O'Brien Award watch list released Wednesday.
Before his controversial offseason, which culminated with an early exit from the Manning Passing Academy this past weekend, Manziel actually won the award presented annually to the nation's best signal-caller after throwing for 3,706 yards and 29 touchdowns and rushing for 1,410 yards and 21 touchdowns as a redshirt freshman, leading the Aggies to a 11-2 record.
2012 finalist Braxton Miller (Ohio State) is also on the list, along with semifinalists Tajh Boyd (Clemson), Teddy Bridgewater (Louisville), Marcus Mariota (Oregon), AJ McCarron (Alabama) and Aaron Murray (Georgia).
Others of note to make the cut include Devin Gardner (Michigan), David Fales (San Jose State), Derek Carr (Fresno State) and Jordan Lynch (Northern Illinois).
The SEC has seven players on the list, the most of any conference.
