If you doubted for a minute that Johnny Football had one more social-media uprising in him before Texas A&M opened fall camp, shame on you.
He's done it.
Again.
Photos and video alleged to be of Texas A&M star quarterback Johnny Manziel at University of Texas fraternity parties surfaced over the weekend. And just for a little added fuel, he's wearing a Tim TebowNew York Jets jersey to boot.
The photos first appeared at blogs such as burntorangenation.com and deadspin.com, followed by various other blogs and also The Sporting News.
Obviously aware of the media storm that his latest exploits created, Manziel took to Twitter on Sunday to react.
Your move, Kevin Sumlin.
Manziel by now knows he is a lightning rod for controversy, and that in the age of social media, he's more likely than not to be photographed just about anywhere he appears in public. And by now, it's clear enough that he'd rather be seen than go unseen. The prevailing argument on Manziel's behalf is simple enough -- he's a college student doing nothing more than what typical college students do: have fun. But one can only wonder if the legions of Johnny Football fans defending the Aggies star with that logic will continue to do so if Texas A&M isn't racking up the victories in College Station the way it did last season.
Time will tell.
