Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent, who is being charged with intoxicated manslaughter, was traveling at least 110 mph during the early hours of Dec. 8 before the crash that killed teammate Jerry Brown, according to police documents obtained by KXAS-TV.
According to the report, Brent was traveling at a minimum of 110 mph and might have gone as fast as 134 mph down stretches of Highway 114 in Texas.
Brent lost control of the car, which flipped. Neither Brent nor Brown had seatbelts on that night.
Brent's blood alcohol level reportedly was twice the legal limit during the deadly crash. The 25-year-old is out on bail, and his case could go to trial as early as this summer.
