SAN DIEGO -- Safety Bhawoh Jue was one of 15 players released by the San Diego Chargers on Saturday to get down to the 53-man limit.
Jue signed a three-year, free-agent contract with the Chargers on March 2005.

The Chargers also placed rookie running back Germaine Race (toe) on injured reserve.
Other players released were linebackers Antwan Applewhite, Nick Roach and Jyles Tucker; safety Tra Battle; center Mark Bihl; running back Eldra Buckley; wide receivers Greg Camarillo and Mark Simmons; defensive ends Andre Coleman; Keith Grennan and Derreck Robinson; tackles Cory Lekkerkerker and Tony Pape; and defensive tackle Louis Leonard.
The Chargers can sign eight players to the practice squad beginning Sunday morning.
