The Seattle Seahawks lost the Super Bowl on the most excruciating play possible.
The failure has the team working even harder to make up for the loss, according to safety Kam Chancellor.
"Oh yeah, I told a lot of people, it feels like this offseason, everybody worked their hardest," he said, via the Seattle Times. "I've seen guys out here busting their tails, the whole offseason going fast-tempo. Guys are lifting like crazy. It's just like the mindset is just sharpened. It just sharpened even more. We're more focused, more driven. We're just hungry for the first game of the year."
The Seahawks are attempting to become the first team since the Buffalo Bills of 1990-1993 to make it to three consecutive Super Bowls.
Coach Pete Carroll echoed Chancellor's view that Seahawks players are more amped and focused early in camp.
"I feel it too. I felt it right since the first days that the guys came back," he said. "We've had great work and the attitude has been on it. That's all we could ask for. ... We went out and practiced and ran around and guys knew what they're doing and flying around, communicating well and we're off and running. It's exactly the kind of tempo we anticipate seeing if we're on it. So that's a credit to all the work these guys have put forth so far."
With the health of the Legion of Boom no longer a primary concern, the Seahawks' focus will be on avenging their Super Bowl loss.
