The consternation about Kelvin Benjamin's hamstring can be put on hold as the Carolina Panthers report to training camp.
The receiver told reporters Thursday morning that he is 100 percent after dealing with injuries to each of his hamstrings this offseason, per The Charlotte Observer's Joe Person. The second-year stud said he's full-go for the start of camp.
Benjamin's hamstrings have been the subject of much discussion this year, due to the nagging nature of the injuries.
The receiver's weight prompted part of the injury alarm, and coach Ron Rivera pondered it could be the cause of the hamstring issues. KB again dismissed the weight concerns on Thursday.
A healthy Benjamin is crucial for the Panthers, as they attempt to win their third straight division crown. Teaming with rookie Devin Funchess, the duo provides Cam Newton two towering targets on the outside.
Any regression in Benjamin's health would throw a serious wrench into the Panthers' offensive cog.
