The recovery process continues for Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt.
The Tennessean reported Wednesday that Britt is scheduled to start running and cutting again on Thursday for first time since he had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee last month.
Britt, 23, said he's far from 100 percent, nearly nine months after he tore his ACL and MCL last September against the Denver Broncos. The arthroscopic procedure is routine in cases such as Britt's.
"I lost some strength in my leg a little bit (after the scope) and that set me back a little bit," Britt said. "But I start running on the field (Thursday) to see how I feel. They thought it would be next week, so I feel good about that."
At one point during his chat with reporters, Britt hopped off the stool in front of his locker while messing with teammates. It was a sign he's moving well, but Britt said it doesn't mean much in terms football readiness.
"There is no problem with me hopping and skipping and things like that," he said. "Seeing how I can cut. ... I am hoping I'll be back for opening day. Hoping and praying."
