Kevin Ogletree reportedly signs with Detroit Lions

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- A person familiar with the deal tells The Associated Press the Detroit Lions have signed wide receiver Kevin Ogletree to a one-year contract.

The person spoke Wednesday on condition of anonymity because the move had not been announced.

Ogletree was cut by Tampa Bay on Tuesday after signing with the Buccaneers as a free agent in March. He would add depth in Detroit, where the Lions are without No. 2 receiver Nate Burleson indefinitely because he broke his left arm in a one-car accident.

Ogletree had eight receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown in four games with the Buccaneers this year. He set career highs last season -- his fourth in the NFL -- with 32 receptions, 436 receiving yards and four TDs.
