The Detroit Lions placed linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba on season-ending injured reserve Saturday and signed free-agent offensive lineman Tony Ugoh.
Ekejiuba has been dealing with a knee injury and was listed as questionable on the Lions' injury report released Friday.
The sixth-year Virginia product appeared in nine games for the Lions, registering 10 tackles and one forced fumble. He joined the team this season after five years with the Oakland Raiders.
The Indianapolis Colts put Ugoh on the waived-injured list in September after once touting him as their left tackle of the future. Ugoh was demoted from starter to backup during training camp in 2009.
The Colts traded up to take Ugoh with the 42nd overall pick in the 2007 draft, and he started 11 games as a rookie and 12 times the next year.
The 2-10 Lions will host the 8-4 Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
