After missing one week with an ankle injury, Detroit running back Kevin Smith will start for the Lions in Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.
Smith burst onto the scene with more than 200 total yards against the Carolina Panthers in Week 11, but injuries have limited his production since that game.
Smith originally hurt his ankle against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Day and then re-aggravated the injury against the New Orleans Saints in Week 13.
Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley also is back after missing last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings with a foot injury. Both Fairley and Smith were listed as questionable Friday. Lions cornerback Justin Durant (hamstring) and cornerback Eric Wright (hamstring) also are set to play Sunday.
Raiders safety Michael Huff (ankle) is inactive.
