Lions will put RB Best to the test with preseason cameo

Starting running back Jahvid Best will return for the Detroit Lions in Thursday's preseason finale at Buffalo.

Best, who led the Lions in rushing yards (555) and was third in receptions (58) during the 2010 season, sustained a concussion on a helmet-to-helmet hit from Browns cornerback Joe Haden on the Lions' first play from scrimmage two weeks ago at Cleveland.

"I'm just looking forward to playing again," Best told the Detroit Free-Press on Tuesday. "Whether I get a big shot or don't even get touched -- hopefully I don't even get touched -- I'm not worried about that at all."

It's the second time Best has had a concussion. The first was two years ago during his junior season at California.
