The Baltimore Sun reported that the low hit by Baltimore Ravens safety Matt Elam on Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb sparked a conversation on narrowing targets for defensive players.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not happy about the hit, which knocked Cobb out of the game with a leg injury.
Elam would not comment after the game, but Ravens strong safety James Ihedigbo used the opportunity to blame the NFL for rules against targeting the head.
Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson can see both sides, but he is convinced that Elam went too low in hitting Cobb.
