LSU RB Jeremy Hill comes off suspension for season debut

The controversial suspension of LSU running back Jeremy Hill ended with a touchdown rather than an official announcement on Saturday.

LSU coach Les Miles sat the sophomore in the Tigers' season-opening win over TCU, but refused to confirm reports that he would return against Alabama-Birmingham. Hill's return was an emphatic one. His first carry was a 3-yard touchdown run near the end of the first half, and he was in the backfield for the Tigers' opening series of the second half, rushing for 14 yards on first down.

Hill's reinstatement deepens what was already a deep offensive backfield for the Tigers, joining Alfred Blue, Kenny Hilliard and Terrence Magee. Hill led the team in rushing as a freshman last year with 755 yards and 12 touchdowns.
