Mangini becomes a favorite to land Titans' D-coordinator job

Could Eric Mangini land on his feet with the Tennessee Titans?

The former Browns coach is a serious candidate for Tennessee's defensive coordinator position, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

Mangini was fired by Cleveland this month after back-to-back 5-11 seasons. Prior to his tenure in Cleveland, Mangini coached the New York Jets for three seasons before being replaced by Rex Ryan in 2009.

Mangini has one season of experience as a defensive coordinator, serving in the role in 2005 under Bill Belichick in New England.
