Sensors built for football helmets to detect concussions have been making news recently as some high schools utilize them while others reject the technology.
- The Wilmington (Delaware) News-Journal reported on the latest Riddell helmet, which includes helmet-impact sensors, talking to trainer Marty Yuhas.
- The Beaumont (Texas) Enterprise reported how Port Neches-Groves High School is using the same Riddell helmets and technology.
- However, Leesburg (Virginia) Today reported that the Loudon School District turned down the opportunity to use helmet sensors for its high school football team.
