Marcel Reece: Oakland Raiders' play 'embarrassing'

The Oakland Raiders flew more than 5,000 miles to London but couldn't leave behind their losing stench.

The Silver and Black faithful who traveled to Wembley Stadium to watch their team play on foreign soil saw the same humiliation it has the previous 10 football Sundays in America as the Raiders fell 38-14 to the Miami Dolphins.

"It's embarrassing to us," fullback Marcel Reece said, per CSN Bay Area. "It's embarrassing to the owner. It's embarrassing to our fans, so many of whom came all the way out here and we didn't give them anything to be proud of.

"We didn't give them anything to root for. I feel bad for the fans mostly. They're so loyal and so deserving. We're not giving them anything right now."

The Raiders got blown out in every phase of the game by a Dolphins squad that had its own concerns entering the game.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported last week that it would take an embarrassing meltdown for the team to consider firing coach Dennis Allen this early in the season.

Well, per Reese's words, the team was embarrassed Sunday.

Allen's seat is now blistering and his job security will surely be the hottest topic in Oakland during the bye week.
