The Buffalo Bills will begin training camp activities without Marcell Dareus.
The Bills added the fourth-year defensive tackle to their active/non-football injury list Saturday. The reason Dareus was placed on the list is unknown at this time.
Dareus still counts against Buffalo's 90-man cap roster. He can be removed from the list at any time, but cannot practice with the team until that happens.
It's the latest setback following a disappointing offseason for the former third overall pick. In April, Dareus was arrested in Alabama and charged with possession of synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A month later, he was charged in connection with an alleged street-racing accident. He could be facing an NFL-mandated suspension for his behavior.
In other roster news, the Bills removed cornerback Leodis McKelvin from the active/physically-unable-to-perform list on Saturday. McKelvin has been working his way back from offseason hip surgery.
