Mario Williams and the Buffalo Bills were a beautiful marriage in the making back in March, but their first year together has been a rough-and-tumble affair.

The defensive end signed a six-year, $100 million contract in the offseason, but he now says he never wanted to leave his old team, the Houston Texans.
"I didn't want to enter free agency in the first place, but it was a one-way door given to me by (Texans general manager Rick Smith) to leave Houston, " Williams told KRIV-TV. "I want the fans there to know entering free agency was not my decision."
Smith declined to comment on Williams's assertion that he was forced out the door. Both men will occupy Reliant Stadium on Sunday when the Bills visit the Texans.
"I'm definitely excited about coming back to the place where it all began," Williams said. "I have the opportunity to play against the team that originally drafted me. The way things ended, I definitely feel like it was kind of a rough and all-of-the-sudden goodbye. There's some things that I'm definitely uneasy about, the final decision-making that happened there. It was just the way it was handled."
Williams still lives in Houston during the offseason and hasn't exactly endeared himself to Buffalo fans with his on-field play. His 4½ sacks through seven games mirror a defensive line that was heavily hyped before the season but ranks dead last against the run and hasn't put enough heat on the quarterback.
One-hundred million was supposed to buy more than this.
