Bills wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is trying to jump his way to Brazil.
Goodwin, an accomplished long jumper, competed at the Millrose Games in New York City on Saturday. He placed third in the men's long jump with a jump of 25 feet, 5 inches.
The double-sport athlete is trying to qualify for his second U.S. Olympic team. In 2012, Goodwin finished 10th in the long jump at the London Olympics.
This summer in Rio de Janeiro, the wideout is hoping to follow in a long line of NFL players who've come home with an Olympic medal -- Bob Hayes, Jim Thorpe, Milt Campbell, Michael Carter and Bo Roberson, just to name a few.
The U.S. Olympic Team Track and Field Trials begin on July 1 in Eugene, Oregon.
