Matt Barkley reportedly will work out for Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are without a starting quarterback after cutting Ryan Fitzpatrickearlier this month. So it makes sense that the organization plans work out USC's Matt Barkley on Monday, according to ESPN.com's James Walker.

The Bills have the No. 8 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft and are certain to select a quarterback at some point. There are a variety of opinions whether any quarterback in the draft is worthy of a top-10 selection. The organization already worked out West Virginia's Geno Smith, Oklahoma's Landry Jones, Florida State's EJ Manuel and Tennessee's Tyler Bray. New coach Doug Marrone has an in-depth knowledge of Ryan Nassib after coaching him at Syracuse.

The team will also work out USC receiver Robert Woods, who shined at the Trojans' pro day. The Bills didn't get into the mix of free-agent wide receivers despite the wishes of Bills pass-catcher Stevie Johnson.

General manager Buddy Nix has no choice but to select a quarterback in the draft. It remains to be seen who they'll choose.
