Emmanuel Greene's performance at the Miami summer camp earned him a scholarship offer from the Hurricanes, one more for a stack of offers that has grown awfully tall for a kid who was merely a high school freshman last fall.
The Coconut Creek wide receiver's dazzling moves on this video, captured during the Hurricanes' camp, have drawn more than 300,000 views on youtube.com. An offer came soon after.
Dream come true or not, UM coach Al Golden was a bit late to the party in offering Greene. But with Coconut Creek being less than an hour from UM's Coral Gables campus, Greene now has the offer he needed to not only play big-time college football, but to do it close to home, as well. We can only assume Greene's offer from UM was coincidental to his viral video, but the video definitely has launched a level of recruiting hype rarely seen for a player so young.
But not an unprecedented level.
