Miller was a second-round draft pick of the Jets in 2005 and made the 2007 Pro Bowl after leading the AFC with a 30.1-yard average and two touchdowns on kickoffs.

Miller was waived by the Jets last season and signed with the Oakland Raiders, who re-signed him for one game this season before releasing him Nov. 11. Miller has a 26.2-yard career kickoff-return average and five returns for touchdowns.

Washington, a Pro Bowl returner last season, was placed on season-ending injured reserve after breaking his right leg during the Jets' Sunday victory at Oakland. Washington replaced an injured Miller as the Jets' primary returner in 2007.
