Monday Nightmare: Ryan Tannehill grounded by Jets

Hey, if I ever back a "flavor of the week" quarterback please proceed to kick me in the guts. I knew once everybody started being all about this guy, he was prone for an epic fail. I even mentioned it during Like/dislike last week, too. So I'm not completely surprised he didn't play well.

But seriously, that was awful.

The one takeaway I did have from the game was this. First, Rex Ryan looks like he's in full Constanza-mode with the offensive play calling. Dan Hanzus mused that Ryan threw the ball like, what, eight times in an effort to stick it to the Jets management. But the players really seemed to play very hard for him. Which is awesome. Well, for the team he coaches next year. Maybe the Bears? Maybe the 49ers? Maybe the Los Angeles Rams?

All right, but enough about that. The thing is, the playoffs start this week. And many of you barely missed out. So let's pull out the fantasy therapy couch. Let it out, people. You'll feel better when you do.

He must have felt so amazing after Peyton Manning scored just 12 points on Sunday night. And then having that matchup? He must have felt like it was in the bag. He probably sandbagged during the day and said he was going to lose. But in the back of his mind felt like he was going to win. And then that happened. Yikes.

Ditto for this guy, too. Damn.

Yes, Ryan Tannehill is the worst today.

With great scores, too. Maybe you should take this column over next year. Because I actually had an anxiety-free Monday night, which was awesome.

I don't know if there is a God of Stat Corrections, but you should start to play to him.

Dude!

You don't need to say any more. A screen grab is worth a 1,000 words. Actually, are screen grabs worth more or less than pictures?

Wait for it.

I don't even know what any of this means. Hahaha.

That seems impossible.

Oh man, that's awful. You needed overtime in this one. Maybe there's a stat correction looming. That's your only hope.

That's unfortunate.

If this doesn't make you want to quit an IDP league, nothing will.

All right. Well, sorry to all of you who missed the playoffs this year. I'm out of the NFL AM league because I forgot to put the St. Louis D/ST into my lineup. Whoops. (Hey, it's one less league I have to check up on, which is cool.) So you're not alone. But keep the bad times rolling. Hit me up on Twitter, leave a message in the comment section. Share it, though. You don't want to hold that stuff in.

For the record, you can submit your fantasy questions to NFL Fantasy Live or me on Twitter. But realize, NFL Fantasy Live has 300K followers. Me? Just 14. See, the odds are better I will answer your question, so hit me up both via Twitter or via Facebook (if you're RG3). And if you follow me on Sundays, I'll quote "The Wolf" from "Pulp Fiction" and then it's game on! Although, it's tough to catch me on Facebook. Twitter is your go-to." Plus seriously people, I'm not taking your tweets after Midnight. I'm into the #HashtagWars via @Midnight. I've started to mute people who ask me questions at that time.
