The Jacksonville Jaguars are waiting on MRI results to spell the fate of running back Rashad Jennings, who injured his knee in Sunday's overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Coach Mike Mularkeytold The Florida Times-Union on Monday that he doesn't expect Jennings to play against the Houston Texans. It all but assures a heavy dose of Maurice Jones-Drew is on tap.
Mularkey also believes right tackle Cameron Bradfield could miss Sunday's game with an ankle injury, leaving the Jaguars scrambling along the offensive line. The newspaper reported Eben Britton could be shifted from left guard into Bradfield's spot unless they go with Guy Whimper.
Jones-Drew was going to find his way back into this starting lineup one way or another. The best news for any running back on this team is the improvement of quarterback Blaine Gabbert. For the first time in a while, this offense might be more than MJD staring down eight in the box.
UPDATE: Mularkey told reporters Wednesday that the MRI results for Jennings and Bradfield showed no significant damage. Neither player has been ruled out for the Texans meeting, so we'll keep an eye on this one.
