Munchak not showing cards over Titans' interest in Owens

First-year coach Mike Munchak sure has mastered the art of working the media up into a foamed-mouth frenzy. All he has to do is ride the fence about whether the Tennessee Titans are interested in Terrell Owens.

Munchak was asked again Friday about potentially adding the free-agent wideout, who will hold a workout for perspective teams in suburban Los Angeles on Tuesday. And, like he has answered on each previous occasion, Munchak was unequivocally vague.

According to The Tennessean, Munchak said he's not sure the Titans will send a representative to see the 37-year-old Owens work out.

That's about all anyone is going to get from Munchak. On Tuesday, he at least cracked the door open to the idea that Owens would be an option for the Titans. On Thursday, Munchak took a step back in saying he wasn't speaking specifically about Owens in his comments.

Owens, of course, continues to try to drum up mid-season interest after surgery in April to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Munchak is certainly doing a good job of keeping Owens in the headlines.

Owens will appear as a guest on NFL Network's "NFL Total Access" at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
