Napoleon Kaufman, who spent six seasons as Oakland's running back in the 1990s, rejoined the organization as the team's chaplain, the Raiders announced on Friday.
Kaufman has been the pastor of The Well Christian Community in Livermore, Calif., for nine years.
"I'm so excited to officially be part of the Raiders organization once again," Kaufman said. "I've always considered myself a Raider and to be able to come back and serve the Silver and Black in this capacity is my privilege."
Kaufman played at the University of Washington and was the Raiders' first-round draft pick in 1995. He rushed for 4,792 yards, including 1,294 in 1997.
