The New England Patriots have signed offensive lineman Jamey Richard, according to the Boston Globe, which cited league sources.
Richard was a seventh-round 2008 draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts out of the University of Buffalo. He started 11 games in four seasons in Indianapolis, including some at center.
He also had surgery on his left hip in February 2011.
With the signing, the Patriots reached the offseason roster limit of 90 players.
