New York Giants reportedly have cars broken into

Fresh from the high of a 26-3 domination of the rival San Francisco 49ers, some New York Giants players learned that their cars were burglarized in an East Rutherford, N.J., parking lot, WNBC-TV reported early Tuesday.

State police spokesman Sgt. Brian Polite told WNBC-TV that the burglaries happened between 4 a.m. and 4:20 a.m. Sunday. He said the team employed a security firm for the lot.

Polite said the thieves broke a lock on the gate to access the lot, and stole a 1996 Chevy Caprice, according to the report.

No player names were cited in the story, but offensive tackle James Brewer sent out this tweet Sunday night:
