If you are reading this message, congratulations on your championship game berth. And if you've stumbled in here because you still want to compete in your consolation, well credit to you, the hardcore fantasy enthusiast.
So let's start off with the quarterbacks because there is still a question about the status of RG3. I got away with Brandon Weeden in Week 15. It was unbelievable. Weeden wasn't Philip Rivers-level of bad. But he certainly didn't carve up the Redskins defense. So if you survived a bad pickup, rejoice. And realize there is a much better option this week.
The sleeper of the week is Sam Bradford, who has scored at least 13 fantasy points in four straight games. Now he's up against the Buccaneers who have allowed the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. In fact, the Bucs have allowed nine touchdown passes in the last three games.
Yes, Mrs. Bueller, nine times. I mean touchdowns.
Ryan Tannehill, QB, Miami Dolphins: RT1 is fresh off a season-high 22 fantasy points against the Jags. He's had at least 12 fantasy points in four straight. The Bills provide a favorable matchup and have allowed at least one touchdown pass in five consecutive games.
Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins: This is the guy I should have just picked up when RG3 went down. Cousins had 21.36 fantasy points in his first start of the season. And you should feel confident in him if RG3 can't go again this week. The Eagles have allowed 20 touchdown passes since their last interception and the Eagles have allowed the most fantasy points to quarterbacks at home.
Dennis Pitta, TE, Baltimore Ravens: It's tough to trust one of the original members of the Bagel Boys (tight ends who score nothing). He had his hot streak and then disappeared. But Pitta has four touchdown receptions in his last four games and at least 10 fantasy points in three of his last four.
Brandon Myers, TE, Oakland Raiders: Yes, he has disappeared in recent weeks, but he is still getting the targets. The Panthers have allowed five touchdown passes in their last two home games.
Garrett Hartley, K, New Orleans Saints: Harley has scored at least nine fantasy points in three consecutive games and the Cowboys have allowed nearly 30 points in their last six home games. The Saints score a ton of points so Hartley should get his chances.
Steven Hauschka, K, Seattle Seahawks: Hauschka has scored the most fantasy points among kickers in the past two weeks. He's been the second-best kicker in the last month. I feel like the Seahawks will be able to move the ball enough to make him a good start against the 49ers on Sunday.
New England Patriots defense: The Patriots have struggled in recent weeks with six points or less in three straight games. But you're playing the matchup here against Chad Henne. The Jags have allowed 14 sacks in last three home games.
Indianapolis Colts defense: The Colts haven't been a great start, as they have scored two fantasy points or less in three consecutive road games. But again, this is the matchup. The Chiefs have scored 13 points or less in six of their last seven games.
Carolina Panthers defense: The Raiders have had trouble holding on to the ball on the road, and if they try to go with Terrelle Pryor, then you might be in for a bonanza. The Raiders have allowed 13 sacks in their last five home games.
San Diego Chargers defense: I might just be smitten with going against the Jets after the Titans scored 18 points on Monday night to get me into the championship game of our NFL AM league. So be it, you sure can't go with the Titans this week because they're up against the Packers. So why not the Chargers? Well, except for the obvious reason.
