NFL+: How to watch Week 2, schedule, key matchups, and more
Week 1 of the 2026 regular season was historic. The opening slate of games tied the NFL's Week 1 scoring record in the Super Bowl era.
The scoring outburst wasn't the only excitement we experienced during Kickoff week. We saw the Cardinals upset the Chargers, the Giants secure a big prime-time win over the Cowboys, the Niners make a statement in the NFL's first regular-season game in Australia, and the Lions survive an overtime thriller against the Saints.
The action continues in Week 2 with another stacked slate of games, including a Thursday Night Football cross-conference showdown.

Week 2 key matchups
Detroit Lions vs. Buffalo Bills
The Lions nearly blew a 21-point lead in their season opener against the Saints but survived in overtime. The Bills escaped a thriller of their own with a win over the Texans on the road. Both teams come into Thursday's prime-time match 1-0 and look to get the first-ever regular season win in Buffalo's new Highmark Stadium.
Washington Commanders vs. Dallas Cowboys
An afternoon tilt, but this NFC East rivalry can easily steal the show on Sunday. Jayden Daniels and Dak Prescott both threw for two touchdowns in their season openers but ultimately came up short in the win column. The Commanders and Cowboys enter Sunday's showdown in Dallas 0-1 and hungry to get their first win of the season.
New York Giants vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Rams were stunned in their season-opening loss in Australia, while the Giants proved they're among the rising teams in the NFL in a win against the Cowboys. Both teams have something to prove entering Monday night's prime-time game. The Rams look to bounce back and take care of business at home. Can the Giants prove they are legit with a win over a Super Bowl contender?
