COACHING NEWS

  • Interim head coach Thomas Brown announced WR coach Chris Beatty has been promoted to offensive coordinator and Eric Washington will take over as the defensive play-caller. Brown was promoted to interim HC following Matt Eberflus' dismissal on Dec. 29.

INJURIES

  • WR Romeo Doubs is still in the concussion protocol, head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters.
  • CB Jaire Alexander (knee) is progressing ahead of Thursday night's game versus Detroit.

INJURIES

  • WR Josh Downs has no no update on the shoulder injury which kept him out of Sunday's win over New England, head coach Shane Steichen told reporters Monday. Steichen added they will monitor Downs' shoulder over the next two weeks as Indianapolis enters its bye in Week 14.
  • C Ryan Kelly (knee; injured reserve) has a good chance to return in Week 15, per Steichen.

  • QB Trevor Lawrence remains in the concussion protocol and no decision has been made yet on if and when he will return this season, head coach Doug Pederson announced.

  • OLB Bradley Chubb (knee; injured reserve) will have his 21-day practice window opened this week, head coach Mike McDaniel announced.
  • LB Cameron Goode (knee; IR) will have his 21-day practice window opened this week, per McDaniel.

  • QB Aaron Rodgers will remain the Jets' starter, interim coach Jeff Ulbrich told reporters on Monday.

  • QB Baker Mayfield has a sore leg and is expected to be ready for Sunday's game versus the Raiders, but head coach Todd Bowles added that he's not sure about Mayfield's status for practice this week.
  • RB Bucky Irving, who suffered a hip injury during Sunday's win over Carolina, told reporters he feels much better on Monday.
